Here at Sippo Park we "free-range" our poultry. We feel this gives our chickens a better quality of life and allows them to have a larger menu to choose from. Although fed a hormone/medication-free high-quality feed, they also enjoy hunting for insects, grasses, seeds and even frogs and mice.
We have several different breeds of chickens on our farm. Our main interest is producing a good egg-laying flock, not show-quality birds. Our hens are are comprised of buff orpington, New Hampshire red, black sexlink, Easter Egger, and buckeye. Our two main roosters are a black australorpe and a Rhode Island red. We also have a few "fancy" breeds raised mainly for their looks. These include silkies, showgirls, turkens, and Polish.
We're hoping to add some Guinea fowl, cotton patch geese and possibly a few ducks in the future.
We have cross-breed and a few pure-breed chicks for sale at this time. We also enjoy farm-fresh eggs which come in a variety of colors.
